Baltimore hotel to join Hilton's Tapestry Collection

Baltimore's Admiral Fell Inn, owned by Meyer Jabara Hotels, is undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation and rebranding. Set to open in April as the William Fell, part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, the 80-room property is MJH’s third owned asset in Baltimore, its fifth managed property in Maryland and the first Tapestry Collection conversion in its portfolio. The new name honors the first settler of Fells Point, who built the area's first colonial home and established its inaugural shipyard.

“We are delighted to be adding Hilton’s Tapestry Collection of independent hotels to the Meyer Jabara Hotels portfolio,” Justin Jabara, president of Meyer Jabara Hotels, said in a statement. “Formerly the Admiral Fell Inn, The William Fell is an irreplaceable asset in a truly special neighborhood, and it is surrounded by pubs, restaurants, shops and coffee bars all along the scenic waterfront. Due to our multigenerational relationship with Hilton, and because this is one of our prime assets, reinvesting in the infrastructure and design of this hotel just makes sense. Not only are we supporting a great brand partner and the ongoing revitalization of Fells Point’s commercial and historic districts (including the Broadway corridor), but we are giving our guests an authentic connection to Baltimore and a local adventure with every personalized stay.”

RD Jones + Associates will oversee the interior design of the hotel while the exterior brick structure from the 1700s will remain the same. Lobby updates will include local nautical-themed art, a coffee area on the first floor, a fitness center with a courtyard, a fifth-floor meeting space and a boardroom surrounded by a wraparound terrace. Paintings, sculptures, and photography by local artists will also be featured throughout all areas of the hotel.
