Hyatt to reflag Andaz Mayakoba as an Alila property

Hyatt Hotels will rebrand Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya into an Alila property. As the first Alila-branded resort in Latin America and the Caribbean, Alila Mayakoba plans to introduce a new level of environmentally conscious hospitality to Mexico’s Riviera Maya when it debuts in Q4 2025. Both Andaz and Alila are Hyatt brands.

Alila Mayakoba will have 118 guestrooms and 64 suites with private pools and spa-inspired bathrooms. Set within 148 acres of protected mangroves and freshwater canals, the property will have a blend of privacy and local immersion—from outdoor treatments and regional healing rituals at the spa to culinary concepts focusing on local produce and unique masterclasses with local experts. Rooted in Mayan tradition, the property's design integrates locally sourced and reclaimed materials. The arrival experience will be reimagined as a cenote-inspired welcome space with natural materials, layered greenery and artisanal elements that reflect Mayan heritage.

Numerous food and beverage outlets are slated to debut at Alila Mayakoba this winter. In all, the resort will have several new restaurants and a new beach club. Culinary concepts will be centered around local flavors and a garden-to-table philosophy, supported by an on-site organic garden and local sourcing from regional farmers and fishermen.
