Hyatt Centric Chicago O’Hare opens following conversion

The Hyatt Centric Chicago O’Hare has been opened by owner Bradford Allen following a $30 million renovation and conversion. The renovation of the 206-room boutique hotel included completely remodeled guestrooms, upgraded common areas and meeting spaces as well as the addition of Cima Restaurant. The opening completes the reimagining of the former Hyatt Rosemont Chicago/O’Hare—which Chicago-based Bradford Allen acquired in 2022, in collaboration with Hyatt.

“The Hyatt Centric Chicago O’Hare is a vibrant addition to a prime location that blends sophisticated design and modern amenities to create an exceptional experience for our guests,” Aghfar Arun, executive director, hospitality at Bradford Allen, said in a statement. “Whether you’re in town for business, pleasure or just enjoying dinner at Cima, you’ll find this hotel experience is unparalleled in Rosemont.”

The Hyatt Centric Chicago O’Hare is located near Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Rivers Casino, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center and Fashion Outlets of Chicago.

Updated Amenities

New features within the hotel include an all-glass porte cochere, reconfigured lobby, food and beverage outlets and private dining spaces. Renovations also included a new roof, fire system, HVAC and building automation systems. The fitness center, meanwhile, includes new equipment that can connect to streaming services, as well as towels chilled in refrigerators. Guest rooms include a walk-in shower or bathtub. Two new junior suites and a top-floor presidential suite offer scenic views and enhanced guest experience, according to the company.

Cima Restaurant—a full-service bar and three-meal restaurant—offers a Mediterranean-inspired, chef-driven menu. Common areas include a fitness center and two banquet rooms with combined capacity of up to 500 people. Other guest accommodations include a complimentary airport shuttle, pet amenities, free Wi-Fi and covered parking.

Since launching its hospitality platform in 2022, Chicago-based full-service real estate firm Bradford Allen has acquired seven hotels totaling roughly 900 keys. In addition to the Hyatt Centric Chicago O’Hare, the firm currently owns hotel assets in Riverhead, N.Y.; the Glendale Sports and Entertainment District in Glendale, Ariz.; Fishers, Ind.; and Iowa City, Iowa.
