The Opal Collection has added the new Cirque St. Armands Beachside in Sarasota, Fla., to its portfolio of 28 hotels and resorts. Located close to Lido Beach, the 135-room hotel was designed as a tribute to Sarasota’s circus heritage.
“Cirque St. Armands Beachside is where Sarasota’s rich circus legacy meets modern luxury,” Melissa Kaplan, general manager, Cirque St. Armands Beachside, said in a statement. “This reimagined boutique hotel brings the magic of the Big Top to life with sophisticated flair. Every detail celebrates the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ while offering guests the elevated hospitality, upscale accommodations, and breathtaking views that define the Opal experience. We’re excited to welcome guests to this one-of-a-kind beachside escape.”
Design Details
The hotel has floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies, and an art-deco-meets-Big-Top aesthetic, according to the company. It also includes geometric and stripe patterns, ostrich-feather chandeliers, golden wall sconces, pin-striped columns and antique photos and posters.
Lido Beach is a public beach neighboring the property, and Cirque guests have exclusive access to a 300-foot private stretch of Lido Beach at the nearby sibling Opal property, Lido Beach Resort.
Other notable features of the property include its signature restaurant, a lobby bar lounge, a pool bar, a pool with a partially elevated deck and private cabanas as well as a fitness center.
