Nashville-based real estate investment manager and developer AJ Capital Partners has appointed Cory Warning chief operating officer. Warning will oversee asset management and operations for the firm, contributing to AJ’s strategic growth initiatives across hospitality, residential and mixed-use assets.
“We are thrilled to welcome Cory to the executive team. I am especially excited to partner with him again and build on the success we shared in the past,” Eric Hassberger, president of AJ Capital Partners, said in a statement. “Cory has a proven track record of operational leadership that will be instrumental to our next phase of growth.”
Warning's career has focused on full-service assets in urban and resort destinations—markets that align with AJ’s core investment strategy.
“I'm honored and excited to join AJ Capital, a leader at the intersection of real estate and hospitality. I've long admired the company from afar and I look forward to contributing to its continued success," Warning said.
Prior to joining AJ Capital, Warning co-founded and served as president of Geller Capital Partners, a private real estate investment firm specializing in high-end hospitality assets. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at Strategic Hotels & Resorts, a publicly-traded REIT, where he played a key role on the investments team through the company’s IPO and the growth of one of the most esteemed luxury hospitality portfolios in the industry.
