Hotels across the country—and beyond—have appointed and promoted sales and marketing leaders in the past few weeks. Here are some names to know.
The Allegretto Vineyard Resort
The Allegretto Vineyard Resort in Paso Robles, Calif. appointed Shannon Spivey to director of sales.
Spivey spent five years on the resort's sales team, most recently serving as associate director of sales. In her new role, she will oversee the sales and catering team, which includes two sales managers, a catering sales manager, a senior event planning manager, a senior wedding manager and two coordinators.
Hermosa Inn
Lisa Sterns has been named director of sales for The Hermosa Inn in Paradise Valley, Ariz.
Most recently, Sterns was an event manager with the Wholesale Independent National Distributors Organization. Before that, Sterns spent 15 years as national sales manager at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa. Her career also includes nine years as a national sales manager at Destination Hotels and Resorts.
Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe
Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe (Calif.) appointed Alicia Cavallo the resort’s new director of sales.
Cavallo most recently was director of sales and marketing at the Renaissance Reno (Nev.) Downtown Hotel & Spa, where she played a key leadership role in the property’s $20 million rebrand from a casino resort to a lifestyle hotel under the Renaissance flag. She has held leadership roles with brands including Hilton, Sheraton, Marriott and Interstate Hotels & Resorts.
The Monarch San Antonio
The Monarch San Antonio, set to open in March, has appointed Jeff Ouradnik director of sales and marketing. He has more than 20 years of experience with global brands like Hyatt and senior roles at independent hotels across California, Washington and Texas.
Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita
Omni Hotels & Resorts appointed Terrance Kelly director of sales and marketing for Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita, the brand’s upcoming debut in Mexico.
Kelly has more than two decades of luxury hospitality experience, and most recently worked as area director of sales & marketing for The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort and W Miami. The property is slated to open in early 2027.
Sea Pines Resort
The Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, S.C., has appointed John Haskins its new director of golf sales.
Haskins has spent nearly two decades in a similar role at another resort, where he managed incoming golf group leads, meeting planners and third-party inquiries. He also was golf sales manager at Charleston Golf, a golf marketing auxiliary organization affiliated with the Charleston Area CVB, coordinating all golf sales, incoming leads and reservation requests for more than 30 hotels and 19 area golf courses.
St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort
The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Miami Beach, Fla., appointed Alfredo Ortega director of sales.
Ortega has overseen sales strategies at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami, The Setai and The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach.
Vinoy Resort & Golf Club, Autograph Collection
The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club, Autograph Collection in St. Petersburg, Fla., appointed Alice Land director of sales and marketing.
Land joins The Vinoy following her time as director of sales and marketing at JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa. Before that, she held leadership roles at Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa and across Marriott International.
Wild Dunes Resort
On Charleston, S.C.’s Island of Palms, Wild Dunes Resort has appointed Jennifer El Khessassi director of marketing.
El Khessassi most recently was director of marketing at Nemacolin. Before that, she spent nearly nine years with Barceló Hotel Group, where she oversaw marketing for 42 hotels across 10 countries in the U.S. market.
