Castle Resorts & Hotels appoints SVP of growth

Castle Resorts & Hotels has appointed Patrick Ahler as senior vice president of growth. Ahler will lead business development initiatives across Castle’s portfolio, with a focus on expanding market share, forging strategic partnerships and driving innovation.

Ahler brings two decades of experience across technology, hospitality, and marketing. In his previous role, he co-founded Lights On, a performance-driven revenue and marketing agency that supported hundreds of hospitality and tourism brands across Hawai‘i and beyond. Under his leadership, Lights On ranked among Hawai'i's fastest-growing businesses and was successfully acquired in 2025.

Recognized by Pacific Business News as a “40 Under 40” honoree, Ahler is known for his work at the intersection of travel, ecommerce and emerging technology. His approach to hospitality growth blends traditional business development with cutting-edge digital strategy, including the development and implementation of AI-powered systems that streamline hotel management.

“Patrick brings a rare combination of local knowledge, marketing expertise, and future-forward thinking,” Matt Bailey, president and CEO of Castle Resorts & Hotels, said in a statement. “His background as a founder and operator, paired with his experience in both vacation rentals and hotels, makes him the right leader to help Castle accelerate growth in a competitive landscape.”
