Gencom, a U.S-based investment firm that owns, operates and develops real estate, has appoints Margaux Mielcarek as senior vice president of development for Bermuda and the Caribbean. Mielcarek will oversee Gencom’s real estate initiatives and business plan execution in the region, including hotel and residential development, renovations, residential sales and marketing, asset management, capital markets and accounting. Additionally, she will work closely with the company’s acquisitions and investment teams to identify new opportunities as Gencom continues to expand its footprint in the Caribbean.

Mielcarek has experience from various perspectives and disciplines within the real estate and hospitality sectors. Prior to joining Gencom, she led multifamily and mixed-use development projects totaling over 1,200 rental units in the Miami area. Previously she served as a hotel investment advisor at JLL’s Hotel & Hospitality Group, specializing in consulting and hotel transactions across Latin America and the Caribbean. Earlier in her career, she held key roles in product marketing, acquisitions and development at Club Med, a global all-inclusive resort operator.
