Maya Hotels promotes director, commercial performance

Charlotte, N.C.-based Maya Hotels promotes Amber Maccari to director, commercial performance. Since joining Maya Hotels in May 2023 as director, revenue management, Maccari has made a marked impact on the company by broadening the scope of commercial leadership and driving performance across revenue, sales, marketing and distribution.

Maccari’s hospitality career includes 13 years at IHG Hotels & Resorts, where she developed deep expertise in revenue strategy and management. Before that, she served as director of sales at Ehrhardt Hospitality, gaining hands-on experience in hotel operations, sales and marketing. Her ability to bridge and connect commercial strategy with operational execution has made her a trusted leader across multiple functions.

At Maya Hotels, Maccari led a thoughtful evaluation of the company’s revenue management systems, implemented new tools to enhance visibility and decision-making and transformed the commercial team to further align sales, marketing and revenue under one cohesive strategy. She also introduced consistent recruiting and onboarding processes, further strengthening the sales organization and reinforcing Maya Hotels’ people-centered culture. These efforts have laid the foundation for a high-performing and unified commercial team.

“I’m excited to take on this expanded role. We’ve built real momentum, and I’m proud to work alongside a team that brings both grit and creativity to the table,” Maccari said in a statement. “This next chapter is about sharpening our strategies, driving stronger results, and ensuring our commercial efforts align with where we’re headed as a company. The work ahead is both meaningful and rewarding. I'm honored to be a part of it.”

“Amber brings vision, focus, and a deep sense of responsibility to everything she takes on,” said Parimal Thakor, president of Maya Hotels. “This promotion reflects not only her incredible contributions to date, but also our belief in her ability to lead our commercial efforts going forward.”

In her expanded role, Maccari will lead all aspects of Maya’s commercial strategy, overseeing revenue management, sales, marketing, pricing and distribution. She will also collaborate closely with the executive team on enterprise-wide initiatives tied to long-term performance, strategic growth, and asset value optimization.

“As Maya Hotels continues to grow, we’re deeply focused on the impact we have - on our guests, our employees, our communities, and our partners,” said Krishna Deva, CEO of Maya Hotels. “Amber’s leadership is a critical part of that vision. Her promotion signals our move toward a more integrated commercial structure. One that reflects where the industry is heading and allows us to drive performance in a more strategic, connected way.”
