California's La Valle Coastal Club opens boutique Guesthouse

Guesthouse, Hotel at La Valle, has opened within the newly updated La Valle Coastal Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., following a $15 million renovation.

The grand opening was announced by real estate investment firm and developer Meriwether Companies and third-party management company Springboard Hospitality, which own and operate the 77-room boutique hotel, respectively. San Diego, Calif-based Hannah Gabriel Wells led the renovation of Guesthouse, which is a central pillar of the $35 million transformation of La Valle Coastal Club, formerly Morgan Run, a 200-acre retreat three miles from the beaches of Del Mar.

“We’re eager to welcome guests to Guesthouse and to be part of the exciting transformation at La Valle Coastal Club,” general manager Fernando Fry said in a statement. “This property was designed to reflect the relaxed luxury and natural beauty of Rancho Santa Fe, while offering an experience that feels both elevated and effortless.”

“Guesthouse at La Valle represents exactly the kind of thoughtful, experience-driven property we’re proud to bring to life,” said Rob Robinson, president of Encino, Calif.-based-based Springboard Hospitality. “By combining boutique accommodations with exclusive access to one of Southern California’s most dynamic private clubs, we’re creating a destination that’s both aspirational and welcoming. It’s a place where guests can relax, recharge and immerse themselves in everything North County San Diego has to offer.”

Guesthouse’s interiors are designed to reflect San Diego’s North County and coastal California in general. Light wood tones, soft neutral palettes and organic textures aspire to create a calming atmosphere, while bespoke details like woven wall art, modern sconces and nature-inspired patterns look to add warmth and character. The layouts include a sitting area and contemporary furnishings along with curated local artwork, according to the company. Blues, greens and sand tones pair with clean architectural lines, warm wood textures and coastal-inspired details.

Guests of Guesthouse will have the opportunity to stay like a member of La Valle Coastal Club, which offers exclusive access to the Club’s resort-style pool, racquet sports facilities, fitness center and social putting green. The reimagined Club has already introduced eight tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, two private Padel courts and 18 holes on the championship golf course.
