Plamondon Hospitality Partners opens Georgia dual-brand

Frederick, Md-based Plamondon Hospitality Partners has opened a dual-branded hotel, Fairfield and TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Grovetown, Ga.

Peter Plamondon Jr., co-president of Plamondon Hospitality Partners, noted that the company originally entered the Georgia market in 2016 with the Home2 Suites by Hilton Grovetown. "With these two new hotels under the Marriott brand, we look forward to continuing to provide an unparalleled hospitality experience for our guests and associates alike," Plamondon said in a statement.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in December with local business and government representatives in attendance to show their support, including the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and its members, the Columbia County Economic Development team and the local American Red Cross chapter.

During the event, Plamondon Hospitality Partners donated $2,000 to the American Red Cross East Central Georgia Chapter for Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. Plamondon Hospitality and the Red Cross have worked together for over 20 years in Maryland and will continue that relationship in Georgia.

Dual-Brand

The Fairfield and TownePlace Suites by Marriott Grovetown is the second dual-branded property that Plamondon Hospitality Partners has in its portfolio. The other is located in Altoona, Pennsylvania. "We strategically designed this location using the dual-branded model to provide guests with a variety of options for their lodging needs," said Michael Henningsen, executive vice president of Hotel Operations. "Grovetown is experiencing economic growth with new construction, including the Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center, and established business from Fort Eisenhower and local sports tournament venues. The Fairfield and TownePlace Suites by Marriott combination strikes the right balance of transient lodging capabilities and extended stay amenities, and perfectly complements our Home2 Suites by Hilton Grovetown location."

Leading the team for the Fairfield and TownePlace Suites by Marriott is General Manager Matt Ricker, who brings more than three decades of hospitality experience including two years at the nearby Plamondon Hospitality Partners Home2 Suites.

Plamondon Hospitality Partners operates 16 properties in three states. The Plamondon Companies is comprised of Plamondon Hospitality Partners, a hotel management and development company, and affiliates Plamondon Enterprises Inc and the Roy Rogers Franchise Company, which owns Roy Rogers Restaurants. Plamondon Hospitality Partners includes Marriott, Hilton and Holiday Inn Express properties in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Georgia.
