Boutique California Coastal hotel reveals upgrade, expansion

The Avila Village Inn—a boutique hotel located along California’s Central Coast—has unveiled an expansion that blends upgraded guest amenities with new accommodations. The property, which is located in Avila Beach, Calif., has added 18 new rooms in the Forest Building and completed enhancements to its original 30-rooms in the Craftsman Building.

“We are excited to offer guests a fresh experience rooted in comfort, style and the spirit of the Central Coast,” GM Mindy Hunter said in a statement. “This expansion allows us to welcome more travelers while maintaining the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere our guests have come to love.”

The expansion is rooted in a modern craftsman aesthetic with new rooms featuring clean-lined, solid white oak furniture with a wire-brushed finish, according to the company. Departing from traditional red oak, the design aims to embrace a softer, earth-toned palette and hand-crafted details that reflect the natural surroundings.

The original rooms have also been refreshed with new carpet, bedding and select furniture pieces designed to align with the updated vision. The expansion introduces a mix of family suites, rooms with two queen beds and a limited number of pet-friendly accommodations. Every new room features elevated amenities and select rooms offer private balconies with soaking tubs, while all king rooms include sleeper sofas for added flexibility, according to the company.

In addition, guests can continue to enjoy exclusive access to the Avila Bay Athletic Club, complimentary bikes for exploring nearby trails and access to nearby beaches, golf courses and restaurants.

Located just off Highway 1 on California’s Central Coast, Avila Beach is a hidden coastal hotel known for its warm microclimate, stunning ocean views and laid-back charm, according to the company. Tucked into a lush oak valley, the area is home to natural hot springs, rejuvenating spas and tranquil trails, including the scenic Bob Jones City to Sea Trail.
