Hyatt Regency Austin kicks off guestroom, event space renovation

The Hyatt Regency Austin has commenced a full-scale renovation that is expected to be completed in September 2025.

Located on the shores of Lady Bird Lake across from downtown proper in Austin, Texas, the 450-room hotel will remain open during the project, which will include redesigned spaces within the guestrooms, guest corridors, food & beverage venues, meeting spaces and the atrium lobby. Meanwhile, the newly remodeled outdoor pool and cabanas have reopened for the season and will remain accessible throughout the renovation.

The 14-story hotel completed a $37 million renovation in 2016 and is close to music, entertainment and attractions of downtown Austin, including South Congress Avenue, 6th Stret, Zilker Park, Auditorial Shore and more. The hotel also is near to Congress Avenue Bridge, which houses the nation’s largest urban bat colony.
