Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego unveils first wave of redesign

The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego has unveiled its redesigned Seaport Tower deluxe guestrooms, marking the first wave of reimagined accommodations.

Designed in collaboration with Parker Torres Design, the hotel’s room renovation began in January and will continue through 2026. The room refresh is part of a property-wide renovation effort, which encompasses all 1,628 guestrooms and suites, more than 320,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and multiple dining venues.

Harbor Tower renovations will begin in the latter part of 2025 with newly designed rooms launching progressively and full completion targeted for summer 2026.

"Unveiling our first collection of completely transformed accommodations marks an exciting moment in the hotel's evolution," Dena Roady, area VP and general manager, said in a statement. "The newly redesigned deluxe rooms showcase our substantial investment in this comprehensive renovation, reflecting San Diego's nautical heritage and coastal beauty while delivering the sophisticated experience our discerning guests expect. This milestone represents our next step in elevating the Manchester Grand Hyatt, propelling us forward in our exciting renovation.”

The redesigned rooms were inspired by the luxury yachts throughout San Diego's adjacent marina. Each room has organic shapes, curved elements and a clean aesthetic. Wood accents complement subtle blue hues that evoke the neighboring bay, and carpet patterns are reminiscent of teak yacht decking. Reflective artwork and surfaces evoke the water while fabrics were inspired by sailing.
