Accor taps Oracle’s Opera Cloud to standardize hotel operations

Accor is migrating its global hotel portfolio to Oracle’s Opera Cloud property management system, an initiative aimed at unifying operations and supporting the company’s expanding meetings and events business.

The shift to a single, cloud-based PMS is designed to allow Accor to consolidate information across properties, monitor performance and streamline decision-making.

“Implementing a global cloud-based PMS is part of our drive to deliver a consistent experience for guests and to optimize operations across our global footprint,” Jean Noel Lau Keng Lun, chief distribution officer at Accor, said in a statement.

In addition to property operations, Accor will use Oracle’s Opera Cloud Sales and Event Management system in an effort to strengthen its meetings and events business. The platform will provide staff with centralized access to venue availability while offering digital self-service tools for event coordinators to book space, guestrooms and catering services.

Oracle executives framed the partnership as part of a broader digital transformation in hospitality. “With Opera Cloud, Accor will be able to more quickly adapt to new opportunities, have the data to adjust where needed, and set the standard for both guest and staff experiences,” said Alex Alt, executive vice president and general manager of Oracle Consumer Industries.
