Remington Hospitality deploys Live Safety platform

Remington Hospitality has partnered with Smart Hotel Manager to advance the technology company’s Live Safety platform with a focus on incorporating real-time preparedness into daily operations. Seven of the Dallas-based company's properties deployed the Live Safety platform with the goal to simplify emergency response, streamline compliance training and improve staff readiness at the property level.

“Hotels operate in high-stakes environments where traditional emergency plans — usually paper-based and outdated—fall short,” Vanessa Osbourne, CEO of Dover, Del.-based Smart Hotel Manager, said in a statement. “We’re building technology that makes preparedness easier to maintain and faster to activate, regardless of a staff member’s language, experience level or role.”

Designed for high-turnover environments, the mobile platform provides access to location-specific safety protocols, multi-lingual audio support and real-time engagement tracking. The research pilot was built around key operational challenges facing hotels today: staff turnover, fragmented compliance processes and delayed response protocols during critical incidents.

According to the company, feedback from front-line hotel teams was uniformly positive, particularly around ease of use, engagement tracking and the ability to quickly access site-specific procedures. Property teams also noted that using the app improved onboarding consistency and increased confidence across shifts.

Based on ongoing feedback from Remington properties, Smart Hotel Manager is introducing new capabilities, including streamlined navigation and push notifications designed to support faster mobilization during drills and real incidents. The ongoing project is continuing across additional Remington hotels with a focus on measuring performance metrics such as response time and regional compliance standards.
