Five Rivers Hospitality buys 2 Tampa Marriott-branded hotels

HREC Investment Advisors has arranged the sale of a pair of Marriott-branded select-service properties in Tampa, Fla., to Five Rivers Hospitality.

HREC represented the seller on the transaction for the 93-room Courtyard Tampa Brandon and the 107-room Fairfield Inn & Suites Tampa Brandon, which were acquired by the Salt-Lake City-based management company for an undisclosed price. The marketing and negotiations were led by Scott Stephens, senior principal, COO and broker on record, Florida; Niven Patel, senior vice president, Tampa; and Wendy Blissett, senior vice president, Atlanta.

“This successful multi-property closing reinforces Tampa Bay’s status as a prime target for real estate investment, particularly within the thriving hospitality sector,” Patel said in a statement.

Located 10 minutes from downtown Tampa, the hotels offer access to the city’s most well-known attractions, such as Busch Gardens, the Tampa Zoo, the Florida Aquarium, Amalie Arena, and the Tampa Riverwalk.
