Hunter Hotel Advisors oversees Baltimore hotel sale

Hunter Hotel Advisors oversaw the sale of the 133-key SpringHill Suites Baltimore BWI Airport. A local investor acquired the property in a court-appointed receiver sale on June 24. Spencer Davidson, senior vice president at Hunter, facilitated the transaction. Other terms and conditions were not disclosed.

Located near Interstate 195, the SpringHill Suites Baltimore BWI Airport is close to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. Baltimore’s strong corporate presence, led by companies such as Constellation Energy, Under Armour and T. Rowe Price, along with the Port of Baltimore are poised to drive “significant” business travel to the hotel, according to the Hunter team.

"The sale process drew significant interest from a wide range of investors, highlighting the strength of the asset’s location near BWI Airport and the sustained demand for well-located hospitality assets in transit-oriented submarkets,” Davidson said in a statement. “We were proud to execute this sale on behalf of our client through a competitive, court-appointed receivership process, with the buyer stepping into a fully renovated SpringHill Suites that meets the latest brand standards and offers considerable upside.”

The hotel, which was renovated in 2015, has an on-site fitness center, business center and indoor pool.
