Marcus & Millichap arranged the sale of the Wave Pointe Hotel and Marina, a 24-room resort property in Sturgeon Bay, Wis. Other terms and conditions were not disclosed.
“This was a rare chance to acquire a high-quality waterfront asset from an institutional absentee owner in the highly desirable Door County market,” said Jon Ruzicka, managing director, investments. “Properties of this caliber seldom come to market, making it a particularly notable acquisition. With more engaged ownership now in place, the property is poised for thoughtful updates that will enhance the guest experience and optimize operations. Door County continues to show strong fundamentals and long-term growth potential in hospitality and tourism.”
Ruzicka, Joseph Ferguson and Reed Gizinski, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Minneapolis office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller and procured the buyer. Todd Lindblom is the firm’s broker of record in Wisconsin.
The Wave Pointe Hotel and Marina includes 24 one- and two-bedroom suites with full kitchens, fireplaces, whirlpool tubs and private balconies, along with a 124-slip marina. Resort amenities include a heated outdoor pool, renovated indoor hot tub and sauna, boater’s lounge, onsite restaurant and bar, and retail shop. The property was built in 2000 and is positioned on the shoreline in Door County.
