Tanusai Hospitality buys Ohio Courtyard

Columbus-based Tanusai Hospitality purchased the 50-key Courtyard Columbus Downtown for an undisclosed amount. Other terms and conditions were not disclosed. Hunter Hotel Advisors' Spencer Davidson, senior vice president based in Hunter’s New York City office, facilitated the transaction on behalf of an institutional seller.

Located in the heart of the Arena District, the Courtyard Columbus Downtown benefits from steady entertainment-driven demand, just minutes from Nationwide Arena, Huntington Park and Lower.com Field—making it a prime destination for sports fans and eventgoers alike. Columbus boasts a robust corporate presence, with a workforce of more than 1 million and Fortune 1000 companies such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Cardinal Health and Designer Brands (DSW) fueling its diverse economy. The Ohio State University—with over 60,000 students—drives significant year-round visitation to the region.

“Tanusai Hospitality, a growing Ohio-based hospitality company, is excited to add this centrally located asset to its expanding portfolio,” said a spokesperson in a statement on behalf of the firm. “The company looks forward to this new venture and is committed to delivering quality service and enhanced guest experiences at the Courtyard Columbus Downtown.”

The Courtyard Columbus Downtown has an on-site fitness center, 2,857 square feet of meeting space and an indoor pool for guests’ convenience.
