Valencia Hotel Group acquires two Texas hotels

Valencia Hotel Group has completed its largest equity raise to date and with that investment, the company has acquired the Cavalry Court and The George, two boutique hotel properties in College Station, Texas. Other terms have not been disclosed.

With this expansion, Valencia Hotel Group now holds majority interest in all hotels within its management portfolio. The acquisition of these hotels was made possible through the purchase of the controlling interest from Harrison Street, an investment management firm based in Chicago. Harrison Street previously owned a substantial stake in these assets, and the transaction underscores Valencia Hotel Group’s strategic vision for growth and excellence in the hospitality industry.

Cavalry Court's "nostalgic atmosphere" pays homage to the region’s  history, while The George has a more modern style, according to the company.

“Our team is incredibly proud to announce this historic milestone for Valencia Hotel Group,” Valencia Hotel Group COO Roy Kretschmer said in a statement. “This equity raise and subsequent acquisition of Cavalry Court and The George not only marks our largest investment to date but also reinforces our dedication to expanding our footprint in key markets. We look forward to building upon the strong foundation that Harrison Street has established and furthering our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests.”

The transaction also reflects the growing appeal of College Station as a dynamic destination for both business and leisure travelers, according to Valencia Hotel Group.
